Hi my name is Samantha, I received my Bachelor of Science from Boston University in Human Physiology in 2018. Afterwards, I decided to continue my studies at University of Michigan and graduated in 2019 with a Master of Science in Kinesiology. I will be starting at University of Southern California to pursue my Doctorate in Physical Therapy this Fall 2020. I have a passion for science and love learning about the human body within the context of physiology and anatomy. I have taken and excelled in college level courses from basic biology to intensive cell biology. In addition to my interests in the field of medicine, I have always had a love for writing and have taken various courses to include introductory writing, creative writing, and research based writing. My Master’s program was heavily rooted in both reading and writing scientific research articles. I also have experience writing literature reviews and manuscripts for publication in scientific journals. In addition, now in pursuit of my third academic degree, I have much experience with college applications and essays and would love to provide assistance to those on the path to further education. While I will be entering the field of medicine as a Physical Therapist, my second career choice would definitely be a teacher - I love watching students grow in their respective fields of interest and I am excited to provide tutoring services and create relationships with students in a supportive environment of learning. I understand that patience and support are key elements in developing a successful teacher- student relationship. I learned this from personal experience with tutors that have assisted me throughout my high school and college career and that have shaped my academic goals and paths. I am confident in my ability to utilize what I have learned from being tutored to being the tutor.
